FlickrのProアカウントはアップロードが2GBになり値段は約半分に

Photo Sharing SearviceのFlickrが先日Yahooに買収されましたが、Proアカウントを持っている場合、買収によってどう変わるのかというのが注目でしたが、かなりサービス内容が向上したようです。有料の値段が半分になって月間転送量が2倍になり、さらに友人への特別プレゼント付。
先日PCを修理に出すにあたって写真のデータが心配だったのですが、そのような場合過去の写真なんかをバックアップ代わりにPrivateモードでバンバンアップしていました。
4月の前半で91%間で容量を使ってしまっていたので最近ちょっと控えていたのですが、今日写真をアップしようとしたらなぜか45%とかになっています。
そんな話をIRCでつぶやいていたらkotaさんが、FlickrBlogで容量アップのお知らせがあったのを見つけてくれました。それによると
On Free Accounts the limits will be doubled for uploads and archiving, i.e. 20 MB a month in uploads, 200 photos will be archived and available through the site.
まずフリーのアカウントの容量が10MBから20MBと倍になりました。
Everyone who already purchased a Pro account at the old price ($41.77) prior to the switchover today, will receive the following upgrades:
- If you have a 1 year pro account it will be extended to 2 years (if you bought a 2 year Pro account it will be extended to 4 years)
- 2 invites for 1 year Pro accounts to be given to anybody you want to give them to (that is, anybody except people who've already got a paid Flickr account, and/or yourself).
-1年契約をしていたProアカウントが2年間に延長になります。
-友人に1年間のProカウントをプレゼントできるinvite権2つが付与されます。
Pro accounts will be priced at $24.95 a year
今まで1年間で$41.77だったものが$24.95と値下げになります。
そして極め付きが
Pro accounts now get 2 GB a month in uploads, up from a mere 1 GB previously. This of course applies to existing Pro accounts too.
Proアカウントでは月間アップロードの上限が1GBだったものが月間2GBになるとのことです。すばらしい。これで今月もさらにアップできますね。この内容ならばYahooにFlickrが買収されて少し不安だった人も歓迎してくれそう。
