リアルタイムにGoogle NewsをGoogle Maps上に表示するWeReporters GeoNews
Lifehackerで紹介されていたGoogle Maps Maniaを見ていたらWeReporters GeoNewsというものを見つけました。これはGoogle Newsの最新記事をGoogle Maps上に表示するというもの。
ニュースと場所がわかるとなんとなく事情がわかったりするかもしれません。地図と一緒だと世界に対しての理解も深まるかもしれません。ジャンル別に見れたり、検索にも対応しています。ただし日本語バージョンはないので英語のニュースなどということになります。それでも日本発のニュースなんかはkoizumiとかで検索したりするとでてきたりします。
そのままブラウザーを開いておけば自動で各地のニュースを地図と一緒にランダムに表示していきます。ニュースと地図好きにはたまりません。おもしろいなあ。

On GeoNews there isn't Japanese News because Google does not have a rss feed for Japanese News
May be in the future I add this possibility with a direct grab of Japan Google News.
I have some difficult to understand Japanese, so I need some time.

Japanese Google News does not feed RSS now.
But there is a person making RSS for Google News Japanese Edition.
