Google Chrome で about:internets と入れても何も起きない場合

Google Chrome ではアドレスバーに about 何とかと入れるといろいろな画面が出るのですが、about:internets といれるとインターネットとはこういうものだというのが画面に出るとのことです。しかし、手元の Windows Vista のマシンでは白い画面のままで何も起きませんでした。ちょっと残念。まあイースターエッグとのことなので、見れなくてもいいかと思っていましたが、原因がわかりました。

sspipes.scr というスクリーンセーバーのファイルが、C:\Windows\System32 内にないとでてこないようです。スクリーンセーバーをブラウザーのタブ内に表示するという仕組みだったんですね。隣の PC は Windows XP だったので、Google Chrome のアドレスバーに about:internets をいれたら無事表示されました。Windows Vista のマシンにもコピーしてこのファイルを同じ場所にいれたら、同じく表示できるようになりました。これでやっとインターネットにつながった(違)
